Thank You
I was once a happy boy
back in my young days
You were once a trustful God
back in my young days too
But one year, I fell
I lost everything
and to you, I gave up hope
thinking you have left me alone
But God you took my hands & said
“there is nothing to fear”
for you’re with me
I knew then that you are for real
And You have opened up my eyes
and now I can fly high
like the eagles
and I thank You for your love on me

I liked the melody for the chorus part (i.e. the 3rd stanza). That part is worth repeating.

Agree with Ivan. The chorus is rather memorable. Nice work.
If you don’t mind, I would like to perhaps point out a few parts where I felt the wordings didn’t really fit the tune. This is the phrase “is nothing to” (3rd stanza 2nd line) and “now I can” (4th stanza 2nd line). As English words have their own intonations, some phrases do not really fit well with certain melodies, and makes them sound a little bit awkward.
Just my humble opinion, hope you don’t mind!
